Auto Alternative Service & Sales has been family–owned and operated since 1992 and started by two ASE Honda dealership technicians.
Having been around for 25 years in business with 100 years of experience, we have learned customer service is everything. Auto Alternative began as a Honda and Acura only shop, then added Toyota and Lexus. Today we service most Asian Imports.
We have grown from one service bay to seven and offer just about any kind of mechanical repair or service maintenance your vehicle needs. We are small compared to dealerships and big franchised tire / repair shops. This allows us to get to know you, how your car is driven, and do what is needed; not the special of the month.
Our dedicated and certified technicians are continually trained to make sure you get the highest quality repairs. We recently have added the resale of good reliable vehicles.

Our work is guaranteed with a 24 month / 24,000 mile limited nationwide warranty that is backed by the Tech-Net nationwide network. If you call after hours, you will find the Service Manager, Colleen and the Owner, Thayre’s cell phone numbers listed for true emergencies. The last thing we want is to have a client without help on the side of the road. When you are a client, you receive free reimbursement of roadside services (see details).
We use state-of-the-art equipment so we can diagnose your problem efficiently to get you back on the road quickly-saving you time and money. Each Technician has a computer terminal in their bay with manufacture service manuals and other resources that has the most up to date repair, specifications, and service information at their finger tips. We use quality parts with great warranties made to last.
Free Pick up & Delivery
We also offer free pick up and delivery in Fayette and Jessamine Counties plus free Loaner Cars to make servicing your vehicle as painless as possible. We will gladly shuttle you to Bluegrass airport so you can have vehicle service when out of town. Early bird drop off and after hours pickup. Let us know how we can take the hassle out of vehicle repair for you.
Our waiting area has comfortable seating and Wifi if you need to do some business or just catch-up on Facebook. If the kids are with you and you choose to wait for your vehicle, we even have a child friendly play area with toys and books to keep them occupied. Best of all, we have some of best popcorn from our movie style popcorn machine made fresh for you.
Payment
For payment, we accept all major credit cards and good local personal checks and cash. We also have a 6 Month Interest Free Deferred Payment Plan.
All necessary work, including costs, will be thoroughly explained to you prior to us beginning any repairs. We never perform a service on your vehicle or exceed our estimate without your OK.
We fix only what is necessary and advise you on all your options without ever pressuring you into having additional work done.
